Dear SAP,
I want to ask about difference between Tables > 1 billion rows" and or Table histories > 1 billion rows
The above items are in Solman's System monitoring on Database SAP HANA New template, but what is the difference between tables and table histories?
and, are there any overlapping areas between these two monitors (table (over 1 billion rows) check and table history (over 1 billion rows) check)? Can we consider them completely separate?
Request clarification before answering.
"Tables > 1 billion rows" refers to the actual tables in the SAP HANA database that have more than 1 billion rows of data. These are the tables that are currently in use and being updated in real-time.
On the other hand, "Table histories > 1 billion rows" refers to the historical versions of these tables that have more than 1 billion rows. In SAP HANA, when changes are made to a table, the system keeps a historical version of the table to allow for data recovery and auditing. This metric monitors the size of these historical tables.
