How Validity table works in BW on HANA inventory flow ?

Hi Experts,

We are in a process of activating Std. BI content of inventory flow (V_MMIM01). we are on BW 7.5/0013.

I have filled up setup for 2LIS_03_BX and pulled in BW. Also, movements delta is also started from 2LIS_03_BF.

We are having a bex query as a source for a customized aDSO and this query will be running on daily basis.

My Question is about validity tab, whose TO_DATE will be updated only after delta movements. So, for a store if there are no movements then TO_DATE is not updated and I am not getting any records for that store in next query next,

instead my most recent closing stock should carry forward and should be displayed in query output if there are no delta movements but same is not happening.

Any thing that I am missing on, please guide.

FYI. We have 0PLANT and 0CALDAY as a attributes of validity table.

Hi Vibhav,

your understanding is correct. Following your setup, the validity table captures FROM and TO Date for a particular plant when movements exists (e.g. for properly calculation of average key figures).

But the stock value should still be shown for a date after the captured TO_DATE in the validity table.

Best to search for SAP Notes for component BW-BEX-OT-NC (in case of BW/4HANA: BW4-AE-CORE-NC) that are valid for your support package.
