How to work with test cases and test plans in several rollouts?

Hello,

I´m working with a customer, where we will implement SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud on several sites in different rollouts. We have created some standard test cases for the first rollout that we want to reuse for upcoming rollouts.

We've created a new scope for each rollout/site. Is it possible to copy the content of an already existing test plan to use in the next rollout?

What's your suggestion on how to work with test plans? Should we create a test plan for each module, for each module and rollout, or do you suggest something else?

Thanks in advance!

BR,

Ebba

Hello Colleagues,

Test Plan copy feature is planned, you can copy content from one test plan to another.

Test cases are created for a project and you can reuse the test cases created within the project.

Thanks,

Aj

Hello Aj, Can I ask you some questions regarding the test cases? You say you can reuse the test cases within the project but if we have several scopes (one for each rollout) in the project and we want to assign the test case to the next scope instead, I don´t see how to do this? I want to reuse the same test case but change the scope and I want to follow up the results, for instance, by using the cards in the overview tile. Is this possible?

Hello Ebba, currently the test case is assigned to a specific scope within the project, and also scope cannot be changed within the test case. You can post a request in Influence program for implementation

Hi Aj - Can you please let us know when the test plan copy feature is planned to release?

Use Case Scenario is,

- We have defined our test plan per domain for the release 2402 (scope)

- We would like to copy the same test plan for the release 2502 (scope). So that we don't want to build everything from scratch again.

Also I dont see an option for bulk export or bulk import as alternative option. Appreciate your help on this. Thanks!
