How to view item level data in Standard Fiori app (F2577)

Hello, 

I have a requirement from our business users that want to be able to see item level data underneath the header level data in the Track Sales Orders app (F2577). 

I figured a tree table would be their best option however I'm unsure if this can be achieved using controller extensions through BAS. I opened the project in the Adaptation Editor and it shows the current table being used is a smart table. I'm just looking for tips and advice on how we can achieve this.

IMHO this is the kind of situation where someone needs to say "no".

I am not saying that it would be impossible to do that, but why spend time doing so?

It's already possible to see the item level data underneath the header level data. Just click on a document and the user will see a detail page with its header and its items. It is a single mouse click.

That's is a Fiori Element application. It uses the most common floorplan which is a list report / object page. Ask the user how would the growing factor of the table work as the table shows an "infinite" table where data is loaded while scrolling.
