Hi,
I have received an XML message and i need to use that XML message to create my source data type for mapping. I have tried to convert it to DTD, XSD and WSDL and then import in XI data type but its giving schema error. Any other idea would be appreciated.
TIA

the easiest way is to convert the xml to an xsd and import it.

Hi Sumit,
this cannot work because an XML message is an instance of a XML Schema (what is your data type). You need to create a PI data type manually, for which the XML file is valid.

Hi Udo,
In my xml file, i am having a complete structure(huge) which i need to use as my source data type. I can create my structure manually in XI but as the structure is very huge, it will take lot of time to create in manually. I am looking for any functionality in PI 7.1 which i can use to import my xml message as an xsd and create my data type.
Please suggest any functionality or any utility which you think could solve my problem.
Thanks
Sumit
Althought using xml is not a standard practice, paste ur xml here.
