How to understand Code Movement in SAP BTP

Hi Team,

I am recently enrolled into SAP BTP learning path and I found it very interesting also. I have learnt how to develop and deploy apps too. But I have one strange doubt which is confusing me to understand in a proper way. I might sound silly, but please understand me I am as a noobie. We will have separate instances in our SAP GUI System for Development, Quality & Production. After finalising code with proper unit test we will move TR from Development to => Quality to => Production through SE01 and STMS T-Codes. How we do that in BTP. One thing I observed is by using command (for CAPM) "cds deploy hana: production" code will be pushed to Production. Am I right or how should I understand this code movement concepts in BTP. 🤔🤔🤔
