How to tune SUM for EHP Upgrades with larger database ?

Dear Guru's,
 
We had recently perform EHP8 Upgrade from EHP5 where DB size is 900 GB.

Our next systems QAS and PRD have size around -- 30 TB.

whether DB size will make an impact on shadow system build and Downtime ?
