My customer use SAC on BW /4HANA and have plan go to use BDC. What should customer to prepare about SAC on BDC??? rebuild , reconnect or have tools to transition.
There are couple of ways to migrate BW to BDC and they depend on how deep is your current investment in BW. If you want to preserve your existing BW investment you could opt for migrating BW to PCE and treat it as a data product. The other option is to rebuild your DW layer fresh using Datasphere artifacts.
In addition to Nikhil's recommendation regarding the BW portion of the equation, I suggest considering the licensing perspective for SAC. Starting January 2026, SAC and Datasphere current customers will no longer be able to renew independent SKUs; they will be required to calculate the required sizing in BDC CUs. Please have a look at the blog below.
