How to remove the dependency between a restricted key figure and a text variable

Hi Team,

We created a restricted key figure and in description gave a replacement path text variable.

Now we don't want to use that text variable, so we removed it from the description of the key figure. But every time we execute the query, system comes with message : could not find value for the text variable.

I HANA studio, when we checked the restricted key figure, in the dependency tab, the restricted key figure is shown to be linked to the text variable.

How do we remove this link. Please suggest.

Thanks!!

Hi Shubham,

go to transaction RSRT and regenerate the query.

Hi Cornelia,

I ran the query using RSRT multiple times. Still I am getting the same error.

did you only execute? Or generate?

if generation does not help, check what happens when you collect the query for transport - is the variable included in the collection?

If yes - it ist still used in your query.

check all used global key figures, check different languages

Hi Shubham,

Did you run the Bex query in RSRT or in AO? Do you still the error or warning message?

Hi Selva,

I ran the query both in AO as well as in RSRT. Both ways, I am getting the same error that could not find value for the text variable.

When we open the keyfigure in HANA studio, the dependency tab somehow shows the link between the keyfigure and text variable. Somehow if I am able to delete this dependency, then this issue will also resolve. Problem is, I am not able to delete this dependency as I can see no where key figure and text variable to be linked.

Hi Shubham,

What is the version of BW you are using?
