How to Push Data from SAP Datasphere to SAP S/4 HANA on-premise Tables By using Odata

Hello SAP Datasphere Community,

I hope this message finds you well.

I am currently working on transferring data from SAP Datasphere to an S/4HANA On-Premise system and have encountered some challenges. I don't see an option to directly connect to the On-Premise system as a target in the replication flow. I also explored the data flow feature but found that direct imports to or from S/4HANA On-Premise are not supported.

For context, I have a table named "ZSALES_DEMO" in my S/4HANA On-Premise system his same table also exists in my Datasphere environment.I would like to push data from Datasphere into this On-Premise table. I understand that creating a Generic OData connection might be a potential solution. Can you confirm if it's possible to fetch data from Datasphere and push it into S/4HANA On-Premise directly by using odata connection?

Any guidance, documentation, or examples from those who have tackled similar challenges would be greatly appreciated. I’m eager to hear about your experiences and any recommendations you might have.

Thank you in advance for your help!

Best Regards,
Samiksha Mahore.

Hi Samiksha, for further context:

1) What type of manipulations must be performed in Datasphere and

2) What is the “future use” of the data after being pushed back into S/4HANA?

Hi Samiksha.

I could push back to S/4 on-premise with HANA Connection using replication flow and then read the data again with a data flow... According to documentation, this is OK - HANA Connection is source/target.

All you need is a HANA Connection, not o-data, nor S/4 HANA.
