I am trying to upload a logical model created in my local workspace in a local path( See below) but whenever I attempt to push the file from local to intended Target folder in the repo , the PowerDesigner is not working or giving me the option to change and it appears to have a default or previous link cached.

SERVER PATH:

Current setup: Repo

Username\XYZ

lOCAL PATH :

Local workspace :

Mydocuments\ABC

I am using 16.7.4.1 PowerDesigner version( desktop client)

newplateauuser Save your file as a new model then try checking it in, see if that fixes it,

As Ondrej mentioned, the model may already be present in the repository, in which case you're currently attempting to check in a new version. When looking for existing models, PD doesn't look at the model name, it looks at the Model ID for the model - it two LDMs have the same ID, they are the same LDM, even if they look completely different.

This situation can happen if your new model started life as a copy of an existing model, if you created it using 'File/Save' or by copying the file in Windows explorer.

To avoid this situation, always create your new model using 'File/save as new model' or use the model template feature in PowerDesigner - don't use an existing LDM file as a template any other way.

Hello,

if you are able to checkin that model into your desired repositor path manually (using PD GUI), it is possible to do that by script too. I can help you with the script, but it is beyond this channel. Let me know if you need more help.

The checkin might be problem, if the model already is present in the repository in different location. But that is not problem of your script, that is feature of PD.

Thanks ,you have acknowledged that this is a problem . I think this feature must be improved in PowerDesigner as it corrupts lot of our work.
