Hemal:

In the roles under functions select 'None" for the activities you do not want the user to have and then Under tables and fields select 'read only'.

With the combination of functions and table and fields you will get the desired result of managing what the end user can and can not do.

Thanks for your prompt response. Is it possible that I can give permission that the user cannot change the record value in MDM Data Manager? I would appreciate your reply.

Thanks & Regards,

Hi Hemal,

You can do that using Roles.

For a particular role, you can assign functions like

"Add Records","Modify Records","Delete Records" etc.,

You can even specify on tables, by selecting the "Tables/fields" in the Role details grid

Hope this helps

Thanks and Regards

Hi Subbu,

How about if I give Read-only Permission from Tables and Fields Tab in SAP MDM Console? Because I want that user can modify certain information, but not all. What do you suggest?

Thanks,
