Dear Guru's,

We had an increase in DB growth in Oracle Database 19 and on seeing the EWA Report we got top 10 tables details and their respective growth.

We need to identify the tables to whom it belongs for example BALDAT/BALHDR is Application Table which Basis need to take care. similarly for other tables how to identify it?
is there any option to identify the table and route to right team like MM or FICO or SD or PI Team?

KIndly check and do the needful

Thanks & Regards,
Mithran

Your question is quite generic.

Suggest you to look into the EWA report or use Tx DB02 to list the top tables consuming the most space.

Technical tables can be taken care by following the recommendations given in this note.

2388483 - How-To: Data Management for Technical Tables

For non technical tables, you may want to involve the functional team to assist with the data archiving.

Hello mithran.vel,

this is where you need to look into SAP data archiving & DVM

you need to consult with an archiving expert who can analyze the data & provide correct recommendations.

even though you will know the areas for those tables & route to right team like MM or FICO or SD or PI Team .

what will they do with this information ?

there are certain tables which can be archived & tables which cannot be archived or possible solution is to setup housekeeping on those tables.

all this is part of Data volume management .

Hello mithran.vel,

In the system there are multiple tables for each modules. For reference, the table start with V is related to SD, start with E is related to MM and start with B is related to FI.

Let me know if any questions on it.

Do we have any list like V is related t SD, E is related to MM?

I have below tables listed as Top 10, its SCM system

Most of the tables above are related to BW, but wanted a confirmation on these tables that are related to BW only like that.

Kindly do the needful
