How to handle negative values while creating Tree Maps in SAP ANALYTICS CLOUD

Hello All,

I am creating a Tree Map chart in SAP Analytics Cloud, my measure has a mixture of positive and negative values.

But, it seems a Tree Map doesn't supports negative values in SAC. This is quite a common requirement.

Anyone has any solution for this or any alternative approach. (Please note that I need a tree map chart in this case).

Thanks for your suggestions, I have found a way out using ABS() values and keeping the main measure in the tooltip or color.

Hi, I recommend to think about a different chart type. Tree Maps are not able to display negative values. Not in SAC, nor in other BI products.

Hi Megh,

This is indeed a limitation in the with regards to a Tree Map, it is unable to support negative values in SAC.I would instead go with using the R Visualisations . More information can be found here https://blogs.sap.com/2020/06/08/r-visualizations-in-sap-analytics-cloud/
