How to get OVS type Field as a Link in Display Mode ?

Hi,

When you open an opportunity and it is in Display mode, I noticed that Account field appear as a Link But If you click "Edit" on the opportunity, then the same Account filed appear as Input Field. How is this possible ?

Is it possible to have a field as Input field(display type OVS) in Edit mode but appear as a Link in Display mode for the same screen design ? OR it is achieved by using a different screen that is loaded based on display or Edit mode ?

I checked the Opportunity TI and theAccount field here is Input field (with OVS). I could not find any other screen to associate to Display mode for TI Header.

So how is this achieved ?

Hi Suchita,

I know it´s late but I just stumbled upon your question and also found a solution.

In the designer you have to set the field as a normal OVS component.

On the DataModel site you can configure a Thing Type Information:
ThingType Mode : Static
Associated ThingType : BusinessObject_TT

And of course you have to configure a OBN Navigation with an Outport and an Event assigned to the field in the Designer.

I hope this helps someone, even if you might not need it anymore.
