How to extend the default session timeout for a Fiori Application launched in Portal

In our product we have few SAP Fiori applications launched on portal. These applications will normally gets timeout after 30 minutes we get the session timeout popup as well

What I want to achieve now is to extend this timeout?. In short I want to change the default Session Timeout configuration in Fiori Launchpad. Is this possible? If yes can you help me in configuring this setting for timeout.

Hi Surya,

it would have helped if you did provide exact information about your environment in your initial question.

As the Neo Launchpad is a managed service you can't change its timeout. The only solution that I've found was to create a Shell Plugin App as I've answered here.

Hi Gregor, I managed to create the plugin that calls its Component.js. I can see in Network tab that this is running successfully, however it doesn't keep the Workzone session open. It doesn't overturn what set up in the Launchpad settings ( 30 minutes max ). Do you know why?. Thanks. Javier

Forgot to mention that we are using BTP Foundry, and not Neo

Maybe you have the option to share the code of your plugin in a public Git repository?

I think it is because we are in Foundry whereas that SAP documentation referred to Neo
