How to extend Flexible Workflow to BTP SBPA on Public cloud to change the final status of PO

Hello Experts,

Currently we are trying to implement a Custom Workflow for PO using SAP Build Process Automation(SBPA) but while trying update the PO status field i.e."

PurchasingProcessingStatus" to approved or rejected in the PO API(api_purchaseorder- Version 4) it is a read only field and we are not able to use it, is there any alternative API or field to handle this?

kindly suggest if there is a way to change the status of the PO by linking the Task from Flexible workflow to SBPA. any other approach would also help.
