I hope 2022 is already better than 2021 for all of you.
I am currently facing a totally weird situation.
In my HANA Studio with the BW Modelling Tools libraries implemented, I can't open a Composite Provider.
The situation is as follows :
- I could not open the definition of CP1, but I have no issue for the others
- I asked for a full reboot of the system just to start from fresh
- Then, I can open the CP1 again. I tried several times during the day (we are in QA and did not import any modifications), closing HANA studio, reopening, refreshing the tab, reopening the tab, etc...Works like a charm
- The next day, I am checking and I can't anymore (the other I still can, but this one....)
As this is on a QA system, I am just wondering what can cause that ? I don't see anything running at the ABAP level (no ST22 dump, nothing in SM21...), it does not seem the HANA DB is overloaded.
I have no clue where to start to figure out what could be the issue.
It seems HANA Studio is hanging (not responding), but I can't see where it stops.
What kind of trace should I activate on the HANA DB to have more clarity ?
What would you suggest to trace the software itssefl ?
As I expect the system to only read and graphically exposed the meta data, I am wondering what could block that process...
Any ideas are welcomed
