How to create package for ODN

Hello all,

In our S/4HANA Public Cloud TDD environment, I am trying to complete the prerequisites for Official Document Numbering described here: Prerequisite for Setting Rules for Official Document Numbers | SAP Help Portal

In order to complete step 1 in the development tenant (080), I have assigned myself the SAP_BR_DEVELOPER role with "Write access", installed Eclipse and ABAP Development Tools. I then connected to tenant and want to create a package.

I right-click on the tenant and create a new ABAP Package:

I then get to the next step and I'm not sure which software component and transport to use. (SAP is not usable, and SGIT lets me continue, but then doesn't let me continue in the next step)

Here's what I get after selecting SGIT and trying to create a new transport request:

Could somebody please indicate the correct process to create such a package in a TDD environment? Maybe there's some documentation existing that I haven't seen and you could link to?

Hello Joerg,

I guess for custom packages, you would have assign software component "ZCUSTOM_DEVELOPMENT". Please refer to this help portal link .

Thank you Raghi. I had seen the page you linked to, but our development tenant doesn't seem to come with the mentioned ZCUSTOM_DEVELOPMENT package. Could that be because it is a TDD environment?

Hello Joerg, I'm not sure about the restrictions on TDD environment. May be opening a new community thread for Package creation issue might direct this to our ABAP platform colleagues who might be able to help. Thanks, Raghi
