How to create hierarchy for 0calyear(Calendar year)

Hi,

How to create hierarchy for CALENDER YEAR? Hierarchy should automatically update when year changes. Do we have any way to do this,without loading from flat file

Below is the sample image of my requirement .

I tried Virtual Time Hierarchies in RSRHIERARCHYVIRT tcode using below link, but no clear idea of it.

Hi Anand,

This type of Hierrachy ( called Internal Hier.,I guess) is already build in SAP BW. 0Calyear is a time characteristics and hierachy for this w.r.to Quarter and Months are already defined by SAP BW.

Can you think of adding 0Calquarter as external Characteristic in 0Calyear definition in RSD1 ? Then it will take care ..?

In your report, You bering 0Calyear, 0Calquarter, and 0Calmonth. Make sure all these are getting updated in your data target. When you will run the report, You will get all these time characteristics aligned as per you hier. definition. Although, it may not appear as hierachy as you have shown above, but for Calyear 2013, you will get 2013Q1, 2013Q2, 2013Q3, and 2013Q4. Under 2013Q1, you will get months.

Hi,

You can achieve the same with the Tcode you mentioned in your question itself.

I believe you need hierarchy based on calyear further divided into calquarter.

For that you need to activate 0QUA_MON hierarchy in that Tcode and at bex level--Drag and drop calyear in Rows--Select it--On the right hand side pane--Hit the hierarchy tab--Select the above hierarchy.

Check the output.Hopefully this should work.

Thank you for swift reply.

As u said, I tried with 0YEA_QUA_MON instead of 0QUA_MON. It seems my requirement is fulfilled but not yet implemented.I will update you once it is done.
