How to copy HDI container with data from production to quality container

Hi,

We implemented a CAP project with HDI container on Hana Cloud tenant.

Solution is in production and growing. First refresh of quality HDI container was done successfully by export/import of HDI container, but now the production is bigger than 2GB so this is not possible anymore.

I've been looking for how to guide blog to refresh quality with production data, but didn't found any alternative.

The best solution looks to setup replication between cloud databases, but it require to recreate many objects and procedure to trigger this.

Is there a simpler way to copy inside the same Hana Cloud tenant a full HDI container to an other ? Export/import is limited and useless when you have onlly one Hana Tenant.

Any hint or feature in this way would be helpfull to ensure good regression testing with current data.

Regards,

Pierre

Hi Pierre,
you can copy HDI container, that are larger than 2 GB, by export to and import from cloud storage:
Export an SAP HDI Container for Copy Purposes to a Cloud Store
Import an SAP HDI Container for Copy Purposes from a Cloud Store
Importing and Exporting Data (chose your preferred cloud storage provider)
You can either export/import to/from your own cloud storage (like an S3 bucket) or you can use the BTP Object Store service
There is also a nice blog on this topic: https://community.sap.com/t5/technology-blogs-by-sap/export-import-an-sap-hdi-container-for-copy-pur...
As the blog was published nearly two years ago, some details may have changed (for instance there is typically no need anymore to import cloud storage certificates, as these are already provided with latest SAP HANA Cloud releases). Therefore I would recommend to double check always the product documentation.
