How to control externally the iflow in integration suite? i.e. What is the substitute of external channel concept of SAP PO in SAP Integration Suite?

We have current scenario in PO that we are externally controlling the channels from ABAP program. How we can achieve this in Integration Suite?

There are several different options on how you can accomplish this. Below are some examples -

1. You could you externalization parameters of content modifier flow step.

2. You Could design iFlow to use Sender adapters like HTTPS, SOAP etc to be invoked as an endpoint from external applications

3. You could create an artifact of type OData Artifact

4. using APIM, You could create a proxy wrapper on top of the conventional artifact and invoke it in a form or API from external applications.

5. There could several more other combinations possible.

So, what is your business requirement. What are you doing in the in the ABAP program with PO comm channel. Is your requirement to start & stop channel from external applications. If yes, you can invoke oDATA API to undeploy/re-deploy iFlow based on router condition flow step or design an API & wrap it in APIM.

So, options are unlimited. Hopefully if you provide additional details on your business requirement, a better narrowed down option may be suggested.
