Hi, integrating Salesforce with SAP Datasphere can greatly improve data accessibility and optimize workflows. For a successful Salesforce SAP integration, you’ll typically need to:

  1. Set up a secure connection using SAP’s Cloud Connector, which involves installing and configuring it to link your SAP environment with the cloud.
  2. Configure OAuth authentication in Salesforce, including creating a connected app and setting appropriate permissions.
  3. Define data models in SAP Datasphere to align with Salesforce objects for seamless data flow.

If you have specific use cases—such as syncing customer data or reports—I’d be happy to share more targeted steps or direct you to detailed resources. Let me know what your priorities are for this integration.

hi Dorian,

I am trying to implement delta based extraction from Salesforce in SAP Datasphere.
We have set up a connection to our salesforce system via open connector.
The issue is, this connection only supports dataflow.
We cannot use this connection in creating views, and the problem with dataflow based extraction is that we cannot pass dynamic value to the parameter within a dataflow to achieve this scenario.
So i am struggling with delta based extraction from salesforce (based on lastmodified date in salesforce).
Can you please suggest a way to achieve this?

Hi @Kunal_Mohanty,

It's a very generic question. You need to start with Integrating Data and Managing Spaces in SAP Datasphere - Integrating Data via Connections

As you see there is no Salesforce direct connection availability directly in SAP Datasphere  It seems to be you can enable / integrate your Open Connectors in SAP Datasphere and connect Salesforce Sales Cloud via Salesforce Sales Cloud API.

Good luck! Please let me know how it went.
