Hello everyone,
our SAP CAL instance running on SuSE in Google Cloud has an issue of not booting properly. So I'd like to connect as root via the serial console. Unfortunately, the only user I can use to log in now is s4hadm which does not have root access. Also, the root user has a password which has not been set by me. How can I regain root access? I already tried various startup scripts which do not have any effect either.
Is there maybe a default root password set during the installation of a SAP CAL instance?
Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance
Dear Customer,
Please note that performing operations on VM level by using directly the hyperscaler console could lead to inconsistency of your appliance, created via SAP Cloud appliance Library UI. So that such approach is not recommended and supported by us.
Best regards,
Tsvetinka
