Hello,

Periodic import jobs can be configured directly from the task list in Charm.

In CM_ADM_COCKPIT, open a <Cycle Type > Task List to be set for periodic import:

  1. Expand target/production system for the periodic import schedule
  2. Click Schedule Import Job for Transport Requests
  3. Click Execute
  4. On Date, click At Start Time
  5. Set Planned Start, No Start After, Period and Background User as desired for periodic import and click OK
  6. If desired, set Options >Import Options (e.g. Leave Transport in Queue for Later Import, Overwrite Originals, Ignore Invalid Component Version, etc)

Note:  The track must be unlocked to be able to proceed with these steps.  Also, when scheduling a periodic import job, there should be no user intervention, therefore, the import strategy configuration should use import project all or Status Dependent import but not Selective Import. In case you have configured selective import and you have made requests selection in the import popup, then the same selection will be kept for all scheduled jobs in the admin cockpit. This is the standard behaviour.

Please be aware as well that if Downgrade Protection (DGP) checks are active for the transport track, they will be performed with this option and if there are any open conflicts, the import will be cancelled.

This information is captured in KBA 2471478 - How to configure periodic import jobs in Change Request Management for version 7.20 and later - SAP Solution Manager

I hope this information helps!
