How to check through Linux Command if a Wily Introscope and TREX Process is running in the system.

Dear All,

I have recently completed OS Migration for our Solution Manager System and also installed the Wily Introscope MOM and Collectors.

So as a part of the Operational Acceptance from Unix Admin side they have asked the below question so that they can include this in their Start and Stop script.

1. Is there any Linux command from which they can determine whether a TREX and Wily Introscope process is running ?

For TREX I found something as below.
ps -ef | grep TRX -----------------------

However as per my understanding for Wily Introscope I have to navigate to the below path.

/usr/sap/ccms/apmintroscope/logs/ and access the file IntrscopeEnterpriseManager.log to check whether whether the introscope processes are running.

However I am looking for a standard linux command through which this can be checked by Unix Team so that they can include in their monitoring script ?

Dear Yuksel,

Actually Linux Administration Team is asking for a standard command similar to ps-ef | grep to monitor whether the Introscope processes are running.

From SAP Netweaver/Basis perspective I completely understood and knows it.

But the challenge, is there any way running introscope processes can be monitored through any standard linux command ?

Hello Anurag,

Unfortunately, I don't have any wily instance running on Linux. If I had I could check and asnwer.

As I found from the documents that EMCtrl.sh start/stop are the scripts for stopping and starting the EM.
