How to change the Provider-Specific Properties of an infoObject in a cube w/o dropping data

Hi All,

My requirement is to fix the fiscal year with a constant value (2013) in a cube so as to improve the query performance (the query is on top of a MP - which has many other cubes with year-wise data). Since the 2013 cube is already loaded with data, I am unable to state the constant value in Provider-Specific Properties.

Can anyone tell me if there is any workaround or solution to change the Provider-Specific Properties of an infoObject in the cube w/o dropping data?

i dont think you could fix it in that cube.. as you will need to reload the data ..so in other words you are changing all the values for fiscal year to 2013, if you do filter in query  it will only bring in 2013, you could write a user exit to convert all years that you have to 2013 in query run time.. or create another cube on top of this cube, and in your misinformation have 2013 as constant and load the data there and copy all the queries to the new cube and that should help you.

Can you also tell me if there is any way to define interval / range (or) multiple values for an info obj in the Provider-Specific Properties. For example - a cube has 2 yrs of data (2010 & 2011)??

so when the year is 2011 or 2012 you want to make it 2013?

or when you run the report it should only show you 2013?
