How to call a Web service from SAP CRM to External API

Hi Gurus,

I am new to CRM Web Service. I have a requirement to call a HTTP Web Service(through URL parameters) from SAP CRM to an external API. In which I have few questions that are listed below,

1. In which way I can Achieve this?

2. How to create a RFC connection for an external Host/IP?

3. If I create an Remote enabled Functional Module, how can I post data to the External API.

4. Do I need to configure my FM in SOAManager?

5. When creating RFC connection I am getting an error "ICM_HTTP_CONN_FAILED".

6. Can I use cl_http_client->create_by_url to connect directly to an external API?

Note : My SAP CRM system will only support ABAP Stack.

Please provide any example link or step by step documentation.
