Hi Experts,
Can anyone help me have the answers of the following questions?
1) We assign roles to the Central Governance through Decision tables or Dyn Agent Det badi. Is there any similar way we can assign roles to the process template steps in Consolidation and Mass Processing?
2) Also I have a requirement to hide specific process template steps for specific roles . How would we achieve it?
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks, T

Hi Titu,
MDG consolidation templates can be linked with Change request during activation step. This change request can then have agents determined based on roles or custom logic through BADI.
Hope this helps.

Hi Anirban,
thanks for your response. But, what I wanted to know was how to assignagent at different Consolidation steps, not when it goes into Central Governance. I mean the before the Activation step.
with more clarity, how can we assign different agents to the following different steps of Consolidation:
1) Standardization step 2) Matching step 3) Calculation of Best Record step etc
Hope it is clear now.
Thanks, T
Hi @Titu,
Only 4 eyed check principle can applied for each of these steps.
You can also use authorization group for each of the steps to mimic agent behavior.

Dear colleagues,
I just want to add information regarding the questions:
1) Using customizing MDCIMG -> Configure Process Template -> Specify Process Step Authorization Group you can assign different authorization group. The authorization object is responsible for process step permissions.
2) This is not supported yet in MDG Consolidation Process.
Best regards,
Sungmin

Thanks Sungmin for your response.
I went to the path you mentioned, I saw the configuration where we need to maintain Authorization Group, but I was wondering how come system will know, which Authorization Group to trigger for which Process Template step? Is there any other configuration for that too?
Thanks, T
Hi T,
Yes, it is possible. In the customizing (direct below authorization group) MDCIMG -> Configure Process Template -> Specify Process Template, you can assign the authorization group to your process template. First, select the process template what you use for your consolidation for example, then in the process step there is a column (the last one I think) and there you can assign authorization group. Then, only the user who assigned this authorization group can do the action.
Best regards,
Sungmin
