How often to update HANA Cockpit?

is there a recommendation on how often you should update the SAP HANA Cockpit?

And at what intervals are updates for the SAP HANA Cockpit released?

Hi Christopher

SAP HANA Cockpit's release strategy coincides with the SAP HANA DB release's strategy. Also, You do not have to align releases between the SAP HANA 2.0 cockpit and the SAP HANA systems it administers and monitors.

Coming to updating the HANA Cockpit, there is no straight answer to it, it also depends on how often you update your HANA DB's though you don't have to align them both in terms of version (as mentioned earlier)

You should update it periodically (maybe yearly) if you want additional features and/or bug fixes

Hello Christopher,

There is no correct or general answer for this from SAP. We regularly update our HANA cockpit to use latest feature but you can consider updating it based on maintenance strategy and according to required feature.
