How do we binding between our Layer Service IoT 4.0 with IoT AE (Application Enablement)

Hi colleagues,

We signed an environment (Test and Demo SAP IoT Enablement) but it does not come with the IoT 4.0 layer.

We have a layer of Service IoT 4.0 running in another environment perfectly.

When we try to create a (New Thing in app Thing Modeler) in IoT AE with field Provider (SAP Cloud Platform IoT Service for Cloud Foundry Enviromenent) the list of sensors is empty.

Where do I bind between the Serivice IoT Layer 4.0 layer and IoT AE for the list of sensors to appear?

I not find anything in the sap help about this binding.

Thanks in advance

Best Regards

Bruno Xavier.

SAP would be able to do this for you. Customers cannot create or change the binding. Open an "incident" at support.sap.com on component IOT-AE-OPS.

Hi Marcus Behrens,

Thanks for your response!

We had already opened a ticket in SAP but in another component IOT-AE-APB-TM and told us that we should contact the address this issue to onboarding team directly: sapiotappenablement@sap.com

We talked to sapiotappenablement@sap.com and they said that CRM order we had received for Application Enablement did not include IOT Services 4.0 and hence it was not provisioned and for further details please reach out to the PSA from SAP that was assigned to you while placing the order

We argued that we already have an IoT 4.0 environment and that we would have to do the binding but they did not respond any more.

We talked with some more SAP contacts and one of them instructed us to open a question here in the forum.

I followed his your instruction and also opened another ticket in the IOT-AE-OPS component and we only have to wait for response.

I do not understand how a solution is sold separately and no one knows how to connect these environments.

Best Regards

Bruno Xavier.
