How do I synchronize flavors/scripts in an a QA environment that does not allow for edits?

I have a set of flavors / global scripts that are functional in dev. When everything is transported to QA (an environment which does not permit edits to scripts/flavors), there is a synchronization issue. None of the global scripts are associated with the flavors in QA.

I also noticed that the Transport System Synchronization did not run.

Could someone help me to understand what the Transport system synchronization does, and how I might move forward to get the screens/scripts working in QA?

Thank you!

The transport system synchronization is not related to this issue. It is used to populate Personas-specific tables related to transported objects, to speed up searches in the Admin transaction when looking for objects.

You had another thread about this topic already and if I'm not mistaken, maybe even a support incident created recently. In theory, the linkage between global scripts and the flavor should not be lost when transporting from one system to another. Those are generated as part of the transport process, when the objects are moved. Should this not happen for some reason, running the 'Update Object Relations' function in the target (in this case, QA) system via the Admin's Health Check will rebuild these records. After that, you should also clear the flavor cache in the target and then the problem is supposed to be taken care of.

Hi Tamas,

Thank you for the help. How do I access the Update Object Relations function?

If you run the Personas Health Check, it is found in the dropdown menu. The path is Health Check -> Tools -> Update Object Relations.

Hi Tamas, is there a way to clear the flavor cache for the system as opposed to the browser?

Yes. It's also in the Health Check, under Cleanup -> Advanced Options -> Clear Flavor Cache.
