The dbping -st 1 option performs an eternity worth of testing (4 seconds!) and uses up 200 connection numbers.
Once upon a time (say, 2004) four seconds was a short time for measuring performance but that was then and this is now... dbping -st 0.1 makes sense but alas it does not work.
As you found out, you can't specify a shorter time than one second.
I don't understand the motivation for specifying a shorter time. What is the issue with using 200 connection numbers?
