How can I create a widget in SAP Analytics Cloud to detect empty fields and validate data?

Dear SAP Community members,

I am currently working on improving my reporting process in SAP Analytics Cloud and I have encountered a challenge that I need some assistance with. I would like to create a few widgets that enable me to:

Detect empty fields: When importing a file from Excel into SAP Analytics Cloud and displaying this data via stories, I would like to have a widget that tells me how many fields in the dataset are not filled in (empty).

Percentage of missing values: In addition to detecting empty fields, I would also like to know the percentage of these empty fields in relation to the total, and in which columns these empty fields mainly occur.

Data validation: Furthermore, I would like to explore whether it is possible to validate data based on certain conditions. For example, I want to check if the tax numbers in my dataset adhere to a specific structure, such as the country code followed by 12 digits. I would like to know how to detect how many records do not meet this validation, and how many records do.

I am wondering if this is possible with scripting, custom widgets, or other methods within SAP Analytics Cloud, but I have no idea how to do this.

Can anyone help me set up these functionalities? Any suggestions, tips, and insights are greatly appreciated! Also, if this cannot be achieved via SAP Analytics Cloud, I would be interested in what alternative solutions exist.
