I see a "Request a quote" button, which is missing in your screen print, next to the "Download now" button (see attached).  This is the case when USA and Canada countries are selected.  Are you selecting another?

Nonetheless - this is a change.  There used to be a "Buy Now" button, and I have sent customers to buy SQL Anywhere this way.

If you can work with an OEM version of SQL Anywhere, authenticated to a particular application, you can buy licenses from a reseller such as Novalys.

I'm surprised you have had no other replies.  It seems forum activity has really dropped off since moving to this new SAP forum platform.

I'll throw in a related message, while I'm here: It's clear SAP has little enthusiasm for SQL Anywhere, which came with the Sybase acquisition.  Many people, including myself, have overwhelming enthusiasm for the truly excellent and underappreciated software that is SQL Anywhere.  If so, SAP, please divest SQL Anywhere to Appeon as you did with PowerBuilder.  The PowerBuilder spinoff turned out wonderfully for everyone, and I have no doubt the same would be the case for SQL Anywhere as well.  Many companies depend on SQL Anywhere, including, no doubt, many large SAP ERP customers, and companies that could become SAP ERP customers.  Why not create goodwill with an action that would not be much trouble, with a company that you have a track record with, while unburdening yourself of software that is not core to your mission in the process?

I just bought a copy of SQL Anywhere Advance CORE in December 2024 without issue. I just tried to follow the direct link to the mycommerce.com site and it was not resolving. Maybe Digital River is having an issue?

According to this, Digital River, where I purchased my license is shutting down as of January 2025. This is where the button to buy on SAP took you to. So, unless they setup a new place to purchase, all will be out of luck unless there is a VAR to purchase through. https://www.fintechfutures.com/2025/02/us-paytech-digital-river-reportedly-shutting-down/

Interesting. Thanks RiclWash. Therefore the SAP Store change sounds more like the shutting down of the e-commerce provider rather than a SAP decision. Certainly we hope the "request a quote" button provides an ongoing opportunity to buy SQL Anywhere licenses (on comparable terms). This said, I think my "little enthusiasm" comment remains, and if correct, that my encouraged win-win-win suggestion comes to pass.

Well, currently SQL Anywhere is also part of other SAP products (IQ, Data Lake, SAP HANA Remote Data Sync?, not that I'm familiar with those), so a complete "buy-out" seems not realistic IMHO. Of course I strongly share the "SAP as a company shows little enthusiasm for SQL Anywhere" impression vs. the personal "overwhelming enthusiams". I currently work primarily with MS SQL Server, and man, do I miss many all too familiar SQL Anywhere features day by day...

Indeed I've heard this myself, Volker. A nightmare scenario is for SAP to maintain SQL Anywhere as an in-house tool, and not worry about supporting outside users or welcoming new ones. If SAP no longer wished to be burdened with SQL Anywhere as a commercially available and supported product, presumably they could keep and maintain an in-house copy, while forking the commercial version to Appeon.

You might contact "Fischer & Consultants" in Cologne, Germany. They have been an important SQL Anywhere re-seller, AFAIK. See here: https://www.appfact.de/kontakt
