Does SAC have a concept of role-playing dimensions? I'd like to maintain one public dimension but import into the model multiple times. The data in the dimension will be maintained within SAC itself and I want to avoid maintaining that data in multiple dimensions.
What I'm looking for is either a way to import the same public dimension twice into the model with different names or a way to copy the data from one dimension to the other so they are kept in sync.
Request clarification before answering.
I am not sure of the use case but if its like company/intercompany where both dimension should have same master data, you would need 2 public dimension and load one using the other with API.

Thanks for your response. The issue with API route is that API doesn't seem to support hierarchies and the dimension we want to replicate does have hierarchies.
If a dimension does not have hierarchies or we don't need hierarchy then yes one can import data using the API (using OData connection) in the import option for the public dimension where we want to copy data to.
Unfortunately not possible currently. There is an improvement request here you can vote for: https://influence.sap.com/sap/ino/#/idea/247414
