HCI DS - FileFormat Datastore dont support Multiple Datasource Configuration

Hello Experts,

I would need your suggestions on a design approach. we are Transferring data from a File Format Data source to On Cloud IBP. The File Application has 3 landscapes and 3 SFTP servers.

we wanted to configure 3 configurations in the same data source like ECC and other Datasource.

Restriction Datastore configurations are not supported for file format groups

I was assuming, we can add multiple configurations like ECC, so we can select the system configuration, when we run the job. Looks like it is not possible.

How to tackle this problem now ? Do we have to create multiple Data source for each SFTP server for the same flow ?

Adding support for datastore configurations for file format groups sounds like a good enhancement to make in HCI-DS. You could log an idea on SAP Idea Place for this and see if others customers vote for this as well:

What you could try as a workaround is to use a global variable for the SFTP host name. And next change the value of the global variable when you execute/schedule your task in the execution properties. I'm not 100% sure you can use global variables for SFTP host name though, you would need to give it a try...
