HANA Schema User SAPABAP1 deleted, how to recreate schema user in HANA

Hi Guru's,

We had an issue where schema user SAPABAP1 got deleted by mistake and we had no backups.
We re-installed HANA System and could not see SAPABAP1 schema user over the new installed system

Do schema Users will be created only during the Installation of the ASCS or App Servers?
Is it possible to create HANA schema User SAPABAP1?

I was able to create schema but in users list it is not displayed? What are all the options do we have?
Do I need to install ASCS & App again?

Kindly do the needful

Thanks & Regards,
Mithran

Hi Mithran,

Since you have mentioned you're not restoring the database from a backup, it means you'll have to install a new system. This is a new installation, so you don't have to perform any action besides following the installation guide for the new system you're installing. The ABAP schema is only created when you install the SAP system, and it is where the Business Data will be stored in your database.

Please note that, depending on the version of the system you're installing, it might have a different schema name than 'SAPABAP1'. More recent systems have been installed with the ABAP schema named 'SAPHANADB' and it doesn't allow you to change (you also don't have to worry about it, since the installation will take care of it).

Hi Luis Darui,

Thank you for your response. I Have one small query , I can install an additional Tenant Database in same existing DB right? we are having HANA version 2 SP05

only the ports will be different and newly created Tenant DB will not have separate SYSTEMDB but instead it will be added with existing SYSTEMDB right?

Thanks & Regards,

Mithran
