HANA Express Edition: Web IDE with Internal Server Error

Need some help resolving an issue with "Internal Server Error" while trying to launch Web IDE for My HEX 2.0 - SPS04 ( Server + Application )

I have installed HEX and looks like xs apps | grep webide returns 1/1 instance which is up and running.

So when I try running it from the browser it is ending up with 'Internal Server Error' ( pls check the attachment section), I am guessing some issue maybe with a Certificate error. The certificate validity is till 25th Jan 2021 but I just downloaded the HXE image a day back, so I am not sure why this showing such an invalid date.

I tried uninstalling HANA Express ( as per the provided installation guide) document and reinstalled everything from scratch but no luck.

I found some link: https://answers.sap.com/questions/13069792/hana-express-edition-ssl-certification-for-web-ide.html and looks like a possible solution but for that, the certificate needs to be valid and not expired.

My system is having 16 GB RAM and I have allocated 12 GB for my VM but I confirm WebIDE doesn't show any crash or anything like that but yes agreed the system is a bit slow but that probably not the issue here.

I am able to access Hana XSA Advanced cockpit from the browser with XSA_ADMIN / XSA_DEV but while trying to launch WebIDE it fails as I said.

Any pointers will be really helpful as I spent quite a lot of time on this but no success yet.

Hello sapstudent I'm having the same issue. Any update about any possible workaround?

I've got the same Internal Server Error when try to access to WEB IDE and also the certificate is expired. All was working fine, but I needed to reboot the VM and then got the error.
