HANA Development Best Practice -- BW, HANA custom tables, schemas

We have a BW/4HANA system where we created on installation the schema SAPBW for the BW/4HANA system. We're also doing HANA development off the same HANA database server. Should we create HANA tables in a different schema or use the same SAPBW schema?

Thanks.

I would recommend to separate the HANA native development stuff in a separate schema to avoid any confusion between HANA managed objects and BW managed objects.

If you need to access any objects from the BW schema in the native development schema you can access it directly or better via synonyms (for easier adoption in case your schema names are not the same on different environments, e.g. dev, qa, prod).
