Hello Community.
I have a question with the best practices to divide a HANA Cloud Database into development, quality and production environments. Currently we have only one database and we have it shared in the different subaccounts.
Thank you very much for your support.
Hi Yerlan
By default, Neo environment HANA databases in an enterprise (paid) account are SDC (Single Database Container) systems. You can share such a database between subaccounts, but it is the same database each subaccount accesses. The alternative is an MDC (Multitenant Database Container) system, which will let you create multiple tenant databases, sharing the resources of your HANA database.
The databases are still created in the subaccount that has the HANA quota, and are then shared to the subaccounts where you'll be using them.
There's no self service option to convert an SDC system to an MDC system. Instead, you must create an incident and SAP operations will do it for you. You'll find more details in note 2497162.

Morten
