HANA Cal view Cache in SAP Cloud Analytics

Hi Experts,

Performance Issue?

We have an analytic application that running out on HANA calculation view on Live-Direct connection.

Pulling more about 1.9 million records and we are experiencing major performance issue.

At present the SAC Application takes around 30seconds after the prompts are submitted.

Symptoms?

Adding removing the object from Designer panel is taking same time as initial load. Not sure why its making a trip to HANA DB for available objects.

What has been done so far?

After performing below note we got attached results on server processing time 19seconds.

We went ahead and enabled the cache that significantly improved performance under few seconds, when same result generated in HANA SQL. However we are not able to leverage this in SAC. There is no impact on SAC application, still same as 30 seconds.

ALTER VIEW V ADD STATIC CACHE RETENTION 10;

Now that we know that cache is working great, how do we leverage this in SAC?
