Group Reporting - Import Validation Settings

We have defined hundreds of validation rules in a custom Excel file. These rules now need to be set up in the system. The 'Import/Export Validation Settings' app can be used to download an upload file. However, many fields are very cryptic. Is there a guide for filling out this Excel file? Or is the app only suitable for exporting validation rules?

Hi, The app Import/Export Validation Settings is used for downloading existing rules (and selections, methods) and import them to another system. It's very difficult (if not completely impossible) to use the excel to create rules from scratch within the excel. Thank you very much for your feedback. From your response, I gather that there is no other option but to create the validation rules manually. Is there nevertheless an explanation for the Excel?

The excel is basically extraction of involved database tables and fields with technical field names shown, which is not comprehensible by regular users. It's not intended for users to create rules in the excel..
