Hi Radesh,

I had a similar problem and I could solve it in this way:

In my case the issue was caused by service /IWFND/SG_MED_CATALOG which reads annotation information for other odata services.

  • Go to transaction /IWFND/MAINT_SERVICE
  • Filter for service /IWFND/SG_MED_CATALOG (technical service name) Version 2
  • Check the system alias area and make sure that NO system alias is assigned for this service (not even LOCAL!).

Try again!

Martin

Thanks ! This has saved my day (and very unexpected fix: remove the system alias! It so often if the case that ADDING the alias is the fix!)

Thank you!

Hello Martin,

Using my local WebIDE, I am trying to access 1604 HANA server catalog and I am getting the error "

No service found for namespace /IWFND/, name CATALOGSERVICE, version 0002.".

As per your suggestion, when I remove the "system alias" it fails with "No System Alias found for Service '/IWFND/SG_MED_CATALOG_0002' and user 'XXXX'

Can you please guide me? Let me know if you need additional information.

Thanks

Karthik

Hi Karthik,

maybe this issue is related to the WebIDE environment.

Did you try to execute only the request to this service on the Gateway server directly in your browser?

Martin

Hello Martin,

Thanks for your reply. Using /IWFND/MAINT_SERVICE, I checked the service "/IWFND/SG_MED_CATALOG" Version 002 using "SAP Gateway client".

URL "/sap/opu/odata/IWFND/CATALOGSERVICE;v=2/?$format=xml" executed good with no errors. But when I selected one of the entitysets (Example: Annotations) and try to execute, it fails with same error message "No System Alias found for Service '/IWFND/SG_MED_CATALOG_0002' and user 'XXXX'

Can you please help?

Hi Radhesh,

If you try calling the service from the Gateway, using transaction /n/IWFND/GW_CLIENT does it work?

Regards,

Leonardo.

Hi Radhesh,

Please check the system alias config once again. Make sure the system alias that you are using is correct and the RFC destination is working.

Please maintain entry in '/IWFND/V_MGDPIM' (Assign Data Provider to Data Model) table if it's not there.

Ekansh
