getdate() SAP ASE 16 SP04 Pl04

Good day,

 Running this query in SAP ASE 16.x :

select convert(datetime,'491006'), convert(datetime,'501006')

jmtorres_0-1752848050414.png

For '491006' it returns 2049 instead 1949.  Any known issue?

Thank you

Regards

Jose

This is the expected documented behavior.

  • If you specify only the last two digits of the year, values of less than 50 are interpreted as “20yy,” and values of 50 or more are interpreted as “19yy.”
