Get value from lookup table in assignment

Hello all,

I have a flat lookup table with one field set to type Integer. I would like to get the value from this field and place that same value in a field on the main table. It seems like this should be possible using an assignment, but I can't quite get the syntax correct. Does anyone know what the syntax for this would look like. Or if there are any other options?

Hi,

The following are steps to be followed in the data manager to make Assignment to work.

1) Create Assignment

2) By Default Main table gets assigned .

3) Select table where you want to change.

4) Go to Assignment Editor

5) Go to Looks ups and select the Lookup value what you want to assign...

Thanks for your response. This is exactly the process I've been trying, but I can't quite get it. I think my syntax is wrong. Do you have an example syntax of this working by any chance?

Instead of placing the value of the lookup field, it's either placing a blank space, or a zero.
