Generate PDF file using the RESTful application programming (RAP) model

Hello everyone, I'm a beginner in SAP I just finished the OpenSAP course about RESTful application programming and now I'm testing some features with RAP, I'm working with the ABAP development tool on eclipse. I would like to create a simple application that generates a PDF file with some data. I've searched everywhere but I haven't found anything, I want to ask if someone already did this or if someone has a link to a tutorial or something that can help me.

Hello Colleagues ,

I have the exact same requirement. In all our applications , this is the basic functionality.

How to achieve this ?, In our BOPF base model , we create adobe form , and do the business logic in get and create stream method. Would like to know how to do this using RAP framework ?

You don't have the same question, yours indicate BOPF, on premise, etc. By commenting here, you have less visibility than a dedicated question.

Other such comments have been previously moderated because of the same reason. I guess you agree that such comments on questions from 2009 make no sense. This one is 6 months old only but who can decide that there should be some moderation or not, for 6 months, 1 year, 5 years or 10 years. Moreover, the OP receives your comments, I'm not sure we can unsubscribe from just one of our questions.

It's been 6 months that nobody answered. I advise to post a new question with more details otherwise I don't see why it would be answered now. Good luck.

shavneet I am also looking for such features in RAP.

Recently SAP delivered 2208 release with some features for attachments. See here and check if thing can be managed with it.

There is no create/get stream methods available but see if you can insert the pdf xstring in custom table so that framework can help in downloading the data. There are some restrictions in OData V2 and SAP clarified in the next comment.

Hi,
Any findings with this requirement?
- Static Action doesn't have any key, so can't read the entity data
- Is there any way to make a call what standard code is doing on Excel download?
So that entire list data is available in internal table and then we can convert to PDF?

Any pointers with above will help.
