For a conversion from SAP ECC to S4Hana Private cloud - do we need BTP/Integration suite also ?

Can we integrate S4Hana private cloud with external systems(Hosted on internet), External systems(private network) and client internal network directly.

1. High level design of how this can be achieved?

2. What are the pros and cons of this strategy?

Hi @deepak_h3 , We are using Private cloud and we do have multiple Third party systems which we need to integrate with SAP S/4HANA, we are using CPI. its not necessary that you need to buy SAP BTP in order to integrate your ERP.

Thanks,

Ankur

Thanks for the reply. The CPI is also part of BTP I think. Is your CPI not part of BTP ? Could you clarify ?

No CPI is different, additionally for another client we used different mechanism too, so I am pretty much sure that you dont need to only rely on BTP.

Thanks Ankur. But we will still need to install CPI and do the relevant integrations right ?

yes if you have third party systems which needs to be connected you need to connect it via CPI/mulesoft/azure.

Thank you. It seems some middleware is still needed.
