FocusBuild - TOCs not imported immediately

Hello,

i do not know whether this is even the right place to ask the question but i am completely stuck.

We are using FocusBuild to manage transports in the three tier landscape. I have to admit i barely know anything about FocusBuild. It was done by an external consultant we no longer employ.

Anyway, coworkers are complaining that TOC contained in transport documents are not transported immediately when they set the request as "to be tested". I searched the net and consulted severals AIs for hours, but all i got was that FB MAY not imported TOC immediately if it is configured to do so. But i didn't find anything about FB or SolMans "special treatment".

Hence my questions:
Does FocusBuild \ SolMan really treat TOC differently than customizing or workbench request ?
Where do i find the configuration to check ?
And where do i find any documentation regarding FBs treatment of TOC ?

Any help is appreciated.

Regards

Andre

Hi Andre,

If you are using solman 7.2, then you could run tcode: sm34>AIC_SETTINGS2->find your transaction type, like S1MJ or Z1MJ? In the left side bar, click 'Assign actions'->find the 'to be tested' status E0004->There check if action COPY_ALL_ENH used or only COPY_ALL used?

Action COPY_ALL_ENH will import ToC automatically when you move to status to be tested. While COPY_ALL will only release the ToC, you need to manually import the ToC via task list.

If you use COPY_ALL_ENH already, but the ToC is still not imported yet, then please open a support ticket to SAP under component SV-SMG-OST-FB-CM, describe your issue in detail, it's better to attach a document with screenshots to show your issues. And open your system connections for checking further.

BR,

Shawn

Hi Shawn, thanks for your help. I took a look at transaction type SM1J in SM34->AIC_SETTINGS2 (there are no ZXXX transaction types in our systems). Under E004, the action is COPY_ALL_ENH. So TOC should be imported automatically. I will open a support ticket with SAP after getting some more information about the RFCs which show this behaviour.
