FIORI TIMESHEET APPROVAL

Hi All,

I work as SAP HCM Time Management Functional Consultant as well as Success Factors consultant and I have a question in FIORI(Time Sheet Approval Version 2).

When employee submits Time sheet, it goes to Manager for approval. Now when Manager logs in to FIORI Time sheet Approval app, he can see the hours to be approved. Now, how can we enable additional fields to be displayed in FIORI Time sheet Approval ?

That is currently FIORI Time sheet Approval is populating fields such as Date, WBS(Desc), No of hours etc.

Now, If we have to include A/A Type(Attendance or Absence Type) in FIORI Approval Time sheet, do the developer need to add the logic in UI  or can that be achieved through Config(like how we do in SAP through CATS Time Profile) ?

Jaya, Data Entry profile configuration (Profile specific modifiable/influencing) can add additional fields like Attendance/Absence type in the Timesheet app, and further it will appear in Approval app as well.

I am actually checking for FIORI extension not the regular CATS Profile.

I agree in CATS Profile, we can configure in such a way that only few fields appear on Time entry screen etc but not sure how to do in FIORI to extend the field visibility.

Hi Jaya,

Ideally I would check the metadata of the service URL for Approve timesheets, and check the availability of the additional fields required. For some of the properties in EntitySet might not have been used or consumed in UI.

From this you can also say that some fields which are hidden, can be displayed via configs. But if you dont see the same in your UI code. The only thing left with you is app extension as mentioned above by Moon.

Extension would be required both from Gateway as well as UI.

You need do the extension to the standard app.
